Rising Dutch band Honey I’m Home has already made an impressive impact. A few of their highlights include opening for Goat Girl and The Buoys in Berlin and Hotline TNT in Amsterdam, performing at Girl in Red’s AFAS Live, and supporting Blood Wizard on two UK tours.
Wishful Thinking is Honey I’m Home’s debut single. With heavy fuzz guitars, it embodies the current shoegaze trend to the fullest. I’m fascinated by the way things sound and immerse you directly into the action. The vocals contrast beautifully with the more dynamic background due to their dreamy quality.
Wishful Thinking talks about the emotional difficulties of being in a relationship or dealing with a situation where things don’t go as planned. It expresses longing, hope, and uncertainty.
