Lauren Reiner is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who brings nostalgia to pop music. She shares her new single, Lifeline. It tells the story of an unsteady codependent relationship, reflecting both promise and pain. The lyrics are intelligent, as they cover a lot of ground without holding back.
A nice build-up characterizes the instrumental. I enjoy how things gradually get more bubbly as the chorus approaches. As for the vocals, I really like them.
