There are times in life when everything seems to fall apart at once, leaving only music as an escape. For Anna Duboc, that time came right before her hometown was hit by the devastating Palisades Fire. In the middle of this chaos, she co-wrote and co-produced Suffocating with Matias Mora (who has worked with Chappell Roan and Gracie Abrams). The song, inspired by the emotional fallout of a difficult relationship, is both a release and a show of resilience.
Suffocating sounds super cozy, but also feels like it could be the backdrop to a movie. It’s got those moody, atmospheric vibes that artists like Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers, and Ashe are known for.
Duboc is certain to thrive more and more, she’s super talented. Check out Suffocating below!
