Singer-songwriter Shiloh Mae releases her new single, Photograph. Its lyrics capture the melancholy nostalgia you get when thinking about an old flame. You know, that person who used to feel like home. But Shiloh doesn’t come across as bitter or resentful. Instead, she treats the memories she has of them with a sort of tender reverence, like cherishing little snippets of something beautiful that couldn’t last forever.
Photograph sounds amazing, in my opinion. Shiloh’s voice, similar to Dolores O’Riordan’s, floats above a delicate acoustic arrangement. The chorus instantly catches the right vibe.
