Ethereal and deeply grounding, Carry My Home is a song that hits the mark. From the opening moments, the sound of soft guitar chords frames the track in hushed intimacy, welcoming you into what feels like a deeply personal performance, less like a studio recording and more like a late-night session in someone’s softly dimmed living room.
Kerber sings from the perspective of a traveler, someone who’s learned to find peace in her own presence, empowered by an internal state of belonging. Lines lik “God it feels good to know / That I always carry my home” feel freeing.
