Toronto-based alternative R&B artist Puma June continues to push boundaries with the striking new video for Nobody, taken from her debut EP A Woman That They Want. This visually arresting piece beautifully matches the song’s genre-blending sound, weaving smooth, empowering, and edgy vibes into a fearless exploration of identity, autonomy, and self-liberation.
Directed by long-time collaborator Arden Grier and shot in Los Angeles, the video takes you into Puma June’s signature dream-like universe. It’s a fashion-forward, surrealist statement that tackles the tension between external judgment and internal limitations. The haunting question posed, ”Is it the world boxing us in, or are we boxing ourselves?” lingers throughout, provoking deep reflection.
