After going through a difficult period marked by personal loss, Tally Spear makes a powerful and unapologetic comeback with her latest track, Strangers, an exploration of the emotional rollercoaster called contemporary love.
Tally’s inspiration struck in the most relatable way: on a date. “Dating can be brutal,” she admits candidly. The night before writing Strangers, during an awkward yet strangely fascinating conversation, her date asked what flavor she’d say her personality was. Within a split second, Tally replied “sweet & sour.” Her date, with a deadpan honesty, countered, “I’d say I’m bitter.” And just like that, the opening lines of Strangers were born.
Strangers embraces pop rock with crunchy, punchy guitar riffs and a propulsive drum section that keeps things unpredictable. The vocals are powerful, maintaining the right amount of tension.
This song offers a refreshing dose of reality. Check it out below!
