Australian singer-songwriter Nicola De Sensi hails from Sydney. She recently dropped her new single, 23. Its lyrics explore the painful act of shrinking yourself to keep a relationship alive, until the act of pretending becomes too heavy to carry. Slowly, the cracks begin to show, and the question you’ve been avoiding rises to the surface: Is this really worth it? In the end, you don’t leave because the love is gone, you leave because, for the first time, you choose to listen to yourself.
Nicola chose an upbeat sound instead of a sad one for 23. Rich, layered instrumentation drives the track forward, creating grounding. The vocals are empathetic and heartfelt.
Nicola’s music continues to showcase the talent that she possesses. Check out 23 below!
