After more than a year of silence, alt/indie rock band The Moss have broken free from their creative cocoon with a powerful new single, Darkness, released via S-Curve Records. The track marks the first taste of their highly anticipated forthcoming EP. It talks about the emotional tension that comes from loving someone deeply while recognizing the need for space to sort out your own feelings. The lyrics are relatable, for sure.
Throughout Darkness, The Moss push their sound into deeper, more introspective territory while never losing the organic, free-spirited charm they’re recognized for. Things feel grounded, with shimmering guitar tones, expansive synths, and an enchanting rhythmic progression.
