Rising Canadian singer-songwriter Billianne is back with Memories, an introspective single from her upcoming debut album Modes of Transportation, out August 15 via The Orchard. The track arrives on the heels of her stunning performances on CBS Saturday Morning, COLORS, and a heartwarming appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show earlier this year.
The lyrics here are certainly thoughtful. Billianne wrote them from a place of vulnerability, recognizing how easy it is to get swept up in the speed of daily life.
Memories leans towards dreamy folk-pop, with subtle nods to artists like Phoebe Bridgers. I love how things unfold organically and authentically throughout, making things super exciting.
