The title track of Tamar Berk’s fifth album, ocd, distills her indie-rock and alt-pop sensibilities into one mesmerizing cut. A warm, slightly warped Wurlitzer loops like a mantra while trumpet lines flare in and out. Swirling synths drift around the convincing vocal, pulling you further into the hypnotic ambience.
At the center sits Berk’s refrain, “over and over and over,” a lyrical tick that becomes both hook and trap. She delivers it beautifully.
ocd confirms that Berk is on top of her game. It urges you to hit the repeat button again and again. Below you can check it out!
