With her new single High on Love, 22-year-old Austrian pop artist ANTO puts the story before the sparkle. She started with straightforward, honest lyrics about love’s addictive qualities and risky dependencies before sugarcoating them with indie pop hooks.
The outcome? A track that’s both emotional and danceable, similar to what an artist like Duffy would create. So, yes, the whole thing is brilliant.
