Singer/songwriter/guitarist/seamstress/painter Elli Perry howls from Savannah, GA. She recently released her new single, If You Don’t Know by Now. I love its acoustic guitar-driven arrangement because of how it develops. The vocals possess a warm edge that gives them a unique energy.
If You Don’t Know by Now comes with heartfelt lyrics. They explore feelings of longing and attachment, touching on the ways we hold on to people and moments, even when regardless of whether it might not be healthy.
In the music video, Perry performs atop a bed of wilted flowers that slowly come back to life, constructs a tiny boat that she sets adrift in the Atlantic, and runs 20 miles from the coastline to her local dive bar, all while wearing a gown she spent 75 hours sewing by hand.
