Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl is out now, and it sounds more extravagant than her previous project, The Tortured Poets Department. I’m blown away by it.
Tracks like ‘Elizabeth Taylor and CANCELLED! already feel like instant classics. Listening to them is a constant thrill for me. Eldest Daughter serves as another highlight, featuring nostalgic piano lines and powerful vocals that capture the soul.
The Life of a Showgirl shows Taylor’s creative abilities are still unimpaired. I find it to be one of her most entertaining works so far, with each song adding value and none being simply filler. That’s exactly how an album should be!
