Oslo/Copenhagen/elsewhere based artist and self-producer Louise Weseth always fascinates with her music. She recently dropped Squares and Fences. I love the tension-building drums throughout. The guitars also sound amazing.
Louise wrote Squares and Fences to express her discomfort at being scrutinized by a male gaze. The feeling of being perceived as something fixed, and something to be won. The subtle frustration of not being truly seen, but rather placed in a box.
Squares and Fences should be on everybody’s radar. Aside from sounding phenomenal, it also has super thoughtful lyrics. Check out the song below!
