Priorities is part of the deluxe version of Renon’s 2024 EP TOO FAR. It captures her trademark soaring vocals and rich synth production. But just when you think you know where it’s going, an unforeseen drum & bass twist sneaks in and takes the song somewhere new.
The lyrics explore the difficulty of losing yourself when you chase fun, attention, or validation and the struggle to wake up and realize what (or who) you’ve neglected. The visual content also leans into the dark sides of being a party-girl, showing that glitter/confetti sometimes isn’t all rainbows.
