Its lyrics explore the emotional cycle of attachment and heartbreak, where someone keeps coming back just enough to stay in your life but never fully commits. Baron reflects on her own role in this cycle, not as the cause of the other person’s behavior, but as someone who keeps hoping it could work despite knowing it probably won’t.
3 words has brilliant indie pop production. Its guitar work particularly appeals to me. The vocals are well matched to the narrative’s intensity.
