Diana Vickers serves up her new single Pretty Boys, a sparkling, tongue-in-cheek pop anthem about self-worth, sexual confidence, and finally dodging toxic exes.
On the inspiration behind the track, Diana says: “After my type always turned out to be the toxic narcissist… I decided it was time for a change. Honestly, I recommend going for the pretty boys, because they do it better.”
The sound features star-like synths, infectious hooks, and playful energy reminiscent of the 2000s. The vocals are brilliant, emphasizing the narrative as it should.
The official video, directed by Leo Cackett, layers cinematic vignettes inspired by Basic Instinct, 90s fashion, and Kylie-era visuals. From Shoreditch night strolls to intimate embraces with a Pretty Boy, it’s a bold, fever-dream.
