Welsh singer-songwriter Hana Lili continues to flourish in the indie rock scene with her song Sick of Myself. It talks about the exhaustion of hiding your emotions and the pressure to appear fine when you’re anything but.
Hana says: ”I tend to hide the way I’m feeling , brushing it off as a learning curve, but after time, that causes a lot of unnecessary stress. I care a lot about the people in my audience, and want them to know that it’s okay to say how you feel, and it’s ok not to have a reason for why you feel that way.”
Sick of Myself lies somewhere between alt-pop and indie rock, anchored by guitar-driven melodies and punchy drums. Hana’s vocals float delicately above, vulnerable but assured.
Sick of Myself stands as one of Hana Lili’s best songs to date. Check it out below!
