“You are a mosaic of the people you meet in your life.” It’s something singer-songwriter Kaiya was told years ago, and it became the seed that grew into her single, Mosaic. Having traveled the world and collected new versions of herself along the way, she depicts the beauty of that evolution through this song. It’s the sound of someone realizing each connection (good, bad, fleeting) can never be erased. Instead of running from the mess, Kaiya builds with it.
The shifting textures in the production make it very appealing to me. Kaiya’s vocals are sincere and build up just the right amount of emotion.
