Ava Valianti is an artist capable of making pop songs that stand out from the crowd. She embraces all the parts of herself that aren’t polished or perfect in Hot Mess, from her debut EP petunias. Its lyrics have been written for anyone who has ever felt too much and not enough at the same time.
Hot Mess features gritty guitar riffs and bubbly drum patterns, which help balance the sound. My opinion of the vocals is highly positive. They truly enliven the narrative.
