Singer-songwriter Tuta dropped Half of Me not long ago. It has thoughtful lyrics, which reflect her struggles with vulnerability. While she sees others who are able to express themselves clearly and honestly, she has difficulty doing the same. Instead, she holds back, overthinks, or says too much without meaning it, keeping her true feelings hidden.
I love how upbeat the production is, juxtaposing wonderfully with the narrative’s more melancholy undertone. The vocals are well-layered and sometimes have cool effects applied to them.
