Lou Emery is a pop-rock singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, CA. She releases her new single, House of Cards. It has building guitar chords and vibrant basslines. The vocals are heartfelt, showing much emotion throughout, which makes them even more believable
Relationally, the track describes a relationship heading toward the brink, with Emery scathingly commenting on a relationship that she’s been “tossing aces away” in the meantime. The double entendre hints at her continued frustration, alluding to both potential new partners she could move on with and the “aces” she can play to overcome her own battles.
