Via Nettwerk, LA-based Vietnamese-Australian producer pastels (aka Annie Bui) and Seattle-based Filipina-American vocalist Jessica Domingo share their new collaborative track Sugar Lychee. It has some great rhythms that keep the track moving forward. The melodic framework feels catchy. The vocal layering is magical, making you fully invested in what you’re listening to.
On this late-night slow jam, Jessica Domingo captures the ever-so-familiar feeling of waiting for a new love interest to call (and wondering if they ever will): “You talk like you want to see me / But since I’ve been home / Where’s the urgency?”.
