Hamburg-based artist lùisa releases Stay The Night, the second single off her upcoming album Call Me The Witch. Its lyrics talk about someone who hides their pain behind a perfect exterior but feels their true struggles emerge at night. They seek comfort, healing, and emotional safety from a lover who can soothe their loneliness and share their vulnerability.
I love the sound of Stay The Night. It features driving beats and warm, 80s-inspired synths as well as an explosive hook. Lùisa’s timeless sound evokes artists like Kate Bush, The War on Drugs, or Fleetwood Mac.
