Molly Millington’s latest single My Man reimagines the classic Jolene narrative, but with a sharp, modern twist. Instead of pleading with another woman to stay away, Molly flips the script and raises an eyebrow at the girl who tells her, “You’re such a fool for not leaving him at home.”
Great acoustic melodies propel the melody forward in the beginning, before a steady beats adds extra support. Some parts feature strings for an uplifting energy. I can say that the vocals hit the mark.
