Nashville-based alt-indie singer/songwriter rakey releases her new single, Limelight. It talks about identity, evolution, and finding recognition as part of the search for self-esteem. The lyrics hit home from the start. They’re perfectly written, in my opinion.
Inspired by legendary classics like Radiohead (but with modern alt production), the song features dry drum textures, Rakey’s ethereal voice, and endless dreamlike ear candy. It sounds amazing.
