New single Nosedive opens ellis king’s new EP. She describes it as a play-by-play reflection of the night everything fell apart, written once she was finally ready to confront what had happened. The song moves through guilt, shame, and self-doubt before arriving at acceptance. Ultimately, it’s about recognizing that whatever happens, life goes on.
Chugging guitars drive the powerful sound. I like how it evolves throughout and doesn’t let you get bored. The vocals have a good energy around them.
