California-born, Filipino-American singer-songwriter Kayla Ramos releases her new single, Ocean Deep. It depicts the feelings of love, grief, and surrender within the context of being pulled into something larger than ourselves. The lyrics are highly poetic, making them special. You can really feel Kayla put a lot of attention into them. She wanted the story to be fully relatable.
I like the relaxed, understated vibe of the arrangement, which gives the singing more opportunity to shine. And that’s pretty much what happens all the way through. Every note Kayla delivers hits home.
