Loving someone whose dreams are pulling them away from you is painful, and not because they don’t care, but because they have to go. SPACESHIP, the latest synth-driven alt-R&B offering by Luke Champion and co-writer Diedrick confronts that uncomfortable truth head-on. This isn’t your typical love song. There are no grand declarations, no promises of forever. As an alternative, it’s a meditation on what happens when devotion collides with distance.
I love the production throughout. The piano chords wash over you like waves, the beats keep you moving forward, but there’s always that underlying tension. That question mark hanging in the air wondering if they’ll stay.
Champion and Diedrick really delivers here. Check out SPACESHIP below!
