Armen Paul is a burgeoning indie pop artist who just dropped his new single, Hangman. The song talks about the selfish feeling that you wish your ex was hurting from the breakup as much as you are, so that you can at least get some closure in knowing that they cared about you as much as you did. It may not be chic, but it’s sometimes necessary to acknowledge things and learn from them.
I love the arrangement of this song. It has a slow build-up, but it works. The vocals feel like the main attraction, occupying a good amount of space, which isn’t a bad thing. They definitely rock.
