Loving someone and trusting love are two completely different things. Emily Clare knows that, and He Might Be is what it sounds like when you’re brave enough to say it out loud.
It talks about standing at the edge of something real and feeling the dizziness, not because he’s wrong, but because nothing is ever certain and hearts are fragile and history has a way of proving that. And yet the chorus opens up into something genuinely beautiful, all planets and stars and sunlight, because that’s also how it feels. Both things are true at once.
The guitar work gives the production its heartbeat, it knows exactly when to lead and when to get out of the way. And Clare’s vocal is something else entirely. Soulful in the truest sense, full of texture.
Listen below to He Might Be. It’s worth it.
