If Honestly was Avery Raquel sitting with her doubts, Slow Motion is what happens when she stops overthinking and just feels it. The song revolves around the sensation of being caught off guard by someone. The push and pull of is this worth it or am I making a mistake gives way pretty quickly to the realization that it doesn’t matter. It’s really nice how the verses have that hesitation and the chorus just completely surrenders to it.
As far as tone goes, the production matches the lyrics’ atmosphere. It’s upbeat and makes your head spin in a positive way. The vocals sound exciting, adding to their appeal.
