Lefuturewave is a music blog based in the Netherlands. We feature emerging as well as established artists.
Singer-songwriter Erinn Alissa wrote Jacaranda Trees after losing her home in the LA Palisades Fire, a feeling you can empathize with deeply. She describes the track as being about “loving a place that no longer exists, and the ghost of who we are when it’s gone,” and honestly, that says it better than any review could.
On the production side, she teamed with GRAMMY-winning Janet Robin, who played electric and acoustic guitars, and Chris Love, who played bass. Mixing duties were shared with Matt Hyde, the person behind records from No Doubt and Deftones, and it shows. The whole thing sounds intimate but polished.
