Lefuturewave is a music blog based in the Netherlands. We feature emerging as well as established artists.
Nothing is inspired by an ordinary moment when Vancouver-based singer/songwriter Rebecca Sichon drove past a man asking for change and she couldn’t offer him anything more than a smile. That’s it. But for Sichon, that ordinary moment cracked something open. The guilt.
And it shows. Nothing doesn’t try to tie things up neatly or hand you a feel-good ending. It just waits for you in the awkward middle space, the one most of us know but don’t always want to look at directly.
Sometimes a song doesn’t need to change the world. It just needs to remind you to stay human, to notice the people in front of you, and to never become numb. Check out Nothing below!
