Micae grew up surrounded by music in Vancouver, singing from the age of four and studying voice into her early twenties and later working as a music therapist. She releases her new single, It All Looks A Little Different Now. Born from the visible transformation of Vancouver’s streets, the song quickly becomes something bigger than gentrification. It becomes a question about what it means to live inside change.
The music video makes that tangible in the most affecting way possible, featuring archival home footage of Vancouver streets in 1995 alongside footage of the same route today.
