Samantha Margret makes music for the soul. You never learn is the follow-up to her debut album Dream Girl. Its lyrics reflect on self-doubt, love, and the ways we sabotage ourselves.
Margret wrote this one solo, in her room, which makes sense. This isn’t a song that needed an audience during the making of it. It needed darkness, probably a lukewarm cup of tea, and zero interruptions.
I love the production of this song, which features dark undertones and wavy main piano. The vocals are wonderfully layered, providing an almost haunting atmosphere.
Margret has never been so confessional and artistic as she is here. Check out You never learn below!
