Elle Rose’s new single Slow Motion captures the feeling of longing when you’d rather drive past someone’s house than admit how much you care. Anchored by the vivid chorus line, “now I’m driving past your house going 65, just to get a glimpse of your bedroom light,” the song shows the desperate hope and intimacy of noticing the smallest signs of someone’s presence.
The track’s country-tinged textures give it a warm, approachable feel, while layers of dreamy synths conjure memories of a summer night passing by. The vocals provide such fluidity.
