Monkeys with Internet, who was born in New York and raised between London and Stockholm, has been writing stories since a young age. Monkey Manifesto is the title track to her debut EP, and it talks about how difficult it can be to move on from a place you’ve grown out of. You feel stuck, stagnant, but comfortable, and sometimes that’s the hardest thing to overcome.
Monkey Manifesto has catchy pop production, which provides great movement throughout. Its oddball guitar licks especially appeal to me. The vocals are vibrant, and I enjoy listening to them.
