Berlin-based FLOSS doesn’t let you settle in on her debut album, b0dy c0un1. Opening track Avant-Garde hits with theatrical flair, razor-sharp satire, and a French-touched electronic production that makes the darkness feel impossibly stylish.
The song interrogates the myth of the artist as martyr, fixating on legacy, sacrifice, and the romanticization of posthumous fame, all pushed toward an absurd and deeply uncomfortable conclusion. The lyrics simply deserve to be called fantastic.
