LA based grit-pop act ill peach release their new single, CRASH COURSE DUMMY. The song has been inspired by the type of person who tries so hard to connect in social settings that it becomes painful to watch, constantly performing for approval while only seeming to drift further away from everyone around them. At the same time, the track reflects Jess’ (the lead singer) experiences with introversion and the feeling of walking away from conversations wondering if any of it felt real.
I love the arrangement here, anchored by solid guitar riffs and cool beats. The vocals sound grandiose throughout, retaining just the right amount of tension.
