Nicky MacKenzie embraces vulnerability on Lost and Found, the reflective lead single from her new EP Morals. It captures the emotional crash that comes once distraction disappears and you’re left alone with your thoughts. As Nicky explains, the song is about “the feeling after the party, when all the lights and noise have died down.”
Written on her grandfather’s old classical acoustic guitar, Lost and Found features an elegant texture that accentuates softness. That warmth is accompanied by dreamlike production choices, including a thick, angelic vocoder hook that sails above the song.
