Boston native Lucy Frost releases her new single, Lead Paint. I love its build-up, beginning with mellow guitars and drums that quickly become gritty. The vocals have the right tonality, and they sound convincing as well.
The song talks about the gradual, inevitable harm of a relationship you’re drawn to despite your knowledge that there’s something beneath the allure that makes the relationship feel safe and familiar. The lyrics have certainly relevance.
