It examines the tension between the lives we are told to want and the lives that actually feel true to us. The lyrics wrestle with questions of purpose, loneliness, and self-discovery, acknowledging how easy it can be to feel overwhelmed by the weight of modern life while still searching for meaning within it.
I love the song’s sound. Acoustic textures and the natural chemistry between Reed and Rose provide an intimate setting that emphasizes emotion. Their voices complement one another beautifully.
