London-based Marina Yozora releases her new single, Snow Heat. It talks about a brief crossing of paths that left something behind that couldn’t be named at the time and still resists easy language now. The lyrics are deeply poetic, making them different from many others.
Snow Heat signifies a significant and fully committed evolution for Yozora sonically. With reverb-soaked guitars that blur the edges of everything, a rhythm section that grounds the ethereal but doesn’t anchor it, and Yozora’s vocals floating above it all, the shoegaze direction is a natural fit.
