Brooklyn-born singer-songwriter Rena Angel writes for the ones who stay too long, love too hard, and still believe in magic . She recently released her new single, Beauty When I Bleed. It explores the blurred lines between beauty and pain. The lyrics feel vulnerable, with Rena’s emotions galloping from one side to the other.
The production here is more than excellent. Hazy synth pads and a pulsing drum groove give it a certain steadiness that cannot be broken. Centered around this are harmonies that sound surprisingly dynamic during the chorus.
I think Rena genuinely makes brilliant music. Full of thoughtfulness, but still catchy. Check out Beauty When I Bleed below!
