Gracie Moses is a self-produced singer/songwriter from Boston, MA, but now based in Nashville, TN. Earlier this month, she shared her single, not healing, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do, namely stun people. The song talks about how healing isn’t always a linear path and that you can be healing and hurting at the same time. Moses wrote the lyrics during a season where she felt pressure to be “over” certain losses and heartbreaks, while privately realizing she was still carrying them with her.
The production is in line with introspective artists like Lizzy McAlpine, Holly Humberstone, and Gracie Abrams. It’s poppy with theatrical elements added that bring just that little extra spice.
Moses doesn’t aim for perfection, but for honesty and raw creativity. You definitely have to check out not healing today!
