Singer-songwriter Gracie Martin wanders around in a dream world on Sailor Song, the lead track off her debut full-length LP, Ruled by the Moon. It features seductive, hip swaying bass and swooning cello that together make the sound flutter like a bird heading south. The vocals are soft, pressing beautifully against the backdrop.
Sailor Song speaks of the temptation of losing yourself in a relationship just as you’re beginning to discover who you are. This is all told in an imaginative way in order to make this pirate girl summer even more thrilling.
