Chloe Catara is an emerging independent artist from Belgium. With Big Eyes, from her debut EP Marcescence, she presents a counter-narrative to all those songs by male artists (think Drake, The Weeknd, Don Toliver) singing about being a player. This is a certified #playergirlclassic, and we absolutely love it. Chloe radiates pure empowerment here. What more could you want?
Big Eyes sounds brilliant. The Jersey-style drums feel satisfyingly powerful, and the more pop-oriented melodies certainly don’t disappoint either. The vocals are prominent in the mix but not dramatic, making them, theoretically speaking, so well balanced.
All in all, Big Eyes delivers, and in a big way. Check it out below!
