Singer-songwriter-producer Karhys takes a nostalgic turn with her new single, sixteen 🙂. In the song, she reflects on her teenage years, emotional distance, and the feeling of returning to an earlier version of herself after reconciliation. The lyrics aren’t only relatable but also deeply thoughtful, which makes them unique.
I really like the production here, featuring indie and bedroom-pop textures that quickly get stuck in your head. They sound like they could have come straight off Olivia Rodrigo’s latest album. The vocals are, of course, fantastic throughout.
